Many of us think that we don't need to go to church regularly, yet alone dive into the Bible or have a deep conversation with the Big Guy upstairs. And just like those bones that get brittle, so does that spiritual muscle.

We think the Bible studies we went to after 911 are still nourishing our faith today. Or that those verses were haven't mumbled since our Daily Vacation Bible School days are still keeping us strong.

Unfortunately, you can't get your spiritual density tested the way can your bones tested. If you are experiencing a serious deficiency in faith, you will be tested in other ways. It will usually surface itself with a bad attitude, hot temper, or hopeless outlook.

Now those Dairy Farmers are recommending that we get 3 servings of Dairy every day in June and every month thereafter to help with the problem. So load up on milk, as well as cheeseburgers, smoothies, banana splits and triple cheese pizza. Just make sure you are getting as much spiritual milk as you are getting good ol' fashioned Moo Juice. Spiritual milk doesn't leave a mustache the way milk does. It leaves something a lot more noticeable. Patience, joy, and a daily recommended requirement of hope.

June is the time of year when you indulge in triple thick milkshakes without much guilt. Why? It's June Dairy Month. All of those Dairy Farmers out there are trying to mooove the milk products their bovines create.

If you open your newspaper, you'll see coupons for new fun flavors of milk. If you turn on your TV, you might see a trendy chef smoosh up a banana with milk for an utterly cool drink . Try sucking that through a straw.

Now as much as those Dairy Farmers try to get us to drink more milk, the more we protest. That's because Americans think that milk is just for babies. By the time a child is teen, they are drinking so little milk, that 3 out of 4 aren't getting the calcium their bodies need.

But cow's milk isn't the only thing we're not consuming enough of. Many Believers aren't getting enough of that "pure milk of the word".

I Peter 2:2-3 tells us, Like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.

Be honest now. Are you drinking up the word the same way you did when you were a baby Christian?
