There are ten lessons in all, five males, four females, and the final lesson, FROM HERO to ZERO, which focuses on both. All of the Heroe s and Sheroes are from the Old Testament; a NT series is planned for the future)

Heroes and Sheroes was created after TastyFaith talked to several urban youth outreach programs across the country. These inner-city youth directors craved materials that focused on the classic Bible stories that un-churched teens might has missed earlier on.

Each leson starts with a straight up issue, that was as real back in the days of manna as it is now. The Bible story is paraphrased into language urban kids can relate to, so they might not even realize it's a Bible story at first. You get hot questions to ignite great dialogue with teens about the lessons. Be prepared to end boredom! Finally, and most importantly, there is a verse teens are challenged to memorize as well as apply to their life and situation.
