SPOGGING - MINISTRY MONEY SAVING TIP
Want more bang for your buck with TastyFaith lessons? Dial up the creativity of youth with spogging (spiral bound logging and journaling of youth meetings). If you can't afford getting an copy of teen handbook for each youth, get them spiral bound note book instead. You can get them in bulk at Costco, Office Depot, etc.
Meanwhile, get one master copy of your favorite TastyFaith resource for urban youth ministry for each youth leader.
Creating a SPOG:
DECORATE with pictures of friends, clippings from magazines, personal art, etc. Each week, have teens write down questions, verses, answers in their spogs regarding the week's lesson.
CHALLENGE teens to journal throughout the week as well.
REWARD teens for bringing SPOGS each week.
SPOGGING not only cuts down on costs, it reinforces literacy skills among youth. More ideas to build literacy among youth.
